Not Open Service Through PTSP, 5 Freelancers Dismissed

As many as 5 freelancers of North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-Department in Penjaringan Urban Village, were dismissed due to they had given service not through counter of One-Stop Integrated Service (PTSP). Allegedly, it is illegal levies (pungli).

PTSP service must be done in the counter. I suspect the suspects did pungli thus they were reluctant to open the service at the counter

Those five suspects are identified as RH (45), SH (25), DI (35), DA (35), and U (45).

Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department, Edison Sianturi admitted he was upset when spotted the suspects opening service in a room of Population and Civil Registration's Unit Counseling, on the sidelines of sudden inspection (sidak) to Penjaringan Urban Village. Whereas, the service is only allowed through the PTSP counter.

"PTSP service must be done in the counter. I suspect the suspects did pungli thus they were reluctant to open the service at the counter," he suspected, Wednesday (1/14).

Besides reprimanding, he stressed, those suspects have been dismissed. He also plans to tighten the security in order to prevent similar case in future.

"We will dismiss the officers who commit cheating. This also applies to officials," asserted Sianturi.

In the meantime, Head of Penjaringan Urban Village, Suranta agrees such sanction that has given to the five suspects. All this time, they do not serve people through PTSP. "All services must be done through PTSP counter. We will monitor it tightly in future," he promised.
