Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Vice Chairwoman Rany Mauliani stated that Indonesia's 77th Independence Day is not just a celebration but a moment to explore the meaning behind independence day.

"Indonesia should be getting up from the downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has been going on for the past two years," she expressed, Wednesday (8/17).
She assessed that Indonesian independence could be interpreted as freedom, sovereignty, independence, education, and sources of law to the dignity and unification of the nation.

According to her, Jakarta has shown efforts to realize social justice and welfare for its residents in order to continue the struggle of the pioneers of independence, as well as part of fulfilling the promises of Indonesian independence.
"Jakarta continues to show significant progress, so one day we can achieve just and prosperous prosperity," she hoped.
She furthered that all elements of the nation must continue to strengthen each other and hold hands together to rise from adversity, especially in the economic field.
To the young generation, she advised to deepen the meaning of independence, to cultivate a sense of love for the homeland while still being guided by the 1945 Constitution and Pancasila.
"To my brothers and sisters, especially millennial youth, keep on loving your Nation and Country, and never forget the history of those before you. Make history the foundation in your attitude as a dignified and honorable citizen of Indonesia, make the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia a fixed price, once independent, always independent," she closed.
