Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria became an inspector for the Akbar Kebangsaan 2022 (nation spirit) ceremony, Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, on Monday (8/15). The ceremony was held in support of the Home Ministry Letter number 003.1/4397/SJ about celebrating Indonesia's 77th Independence Day through the distribution of 10 million red-white flags.

"This morning's ceremony has significance. Besides smoothing the Red-White Flag Raising Movement throughout Indonesia, it also aims to welcome the 77th Independence Day, strengthen the sense of love for the homeland and diversity, and increase the spirit of nationalism for all Indonesian people, especially Jakartans," he expressed when delivering his speech, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He went on to say that the Akbar Kebangsaan ceremony is a commitment to living and practicing national values, as the basis for society, nation, and state, as well as to further strengthen the nation amid the Covid-19 pandemic, including anticipating the high potential in other infectious diseases that must be watched out for.
"The government appreciates individuals and community groups through the distribution of 10 million red-white flags, with the idea that the red and white flag is an identity, symbol, and a unifying tool for the Indonesian people, which during the month of independence flew throughout Indonesia," he continued.
As for the information, the ceremony was also attended by the ranks of Jakarta Forkopimda (Regional Leadership Communication Forum) and officials under the Jakarta administration. Some of the participants in the ceremony were forums under the Jakarta Political and Nation Unity Agency and administrators, as well as members of community organizations.
