Pacific Alliance-Indonesia Film Festival, an Event for International Cultural Exchange through Film

The Jakarta administration and the Embassies incorporated in members of the Pacific Alliance held the Pacific Alliance-Indonesia Film Festival at the Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) Small Theater, Central Jakarta, on Friday (8/19).
This is intended as a forum for cultural exchange between member countries of the Pacific Alliance and Indonesia
The film festival will screen films from four member countries of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru) and two from Indonesia. The cultural-related agenda is one of the Pacific Alliance's activities that are deemed important, one of which is through film/cinematography.
"This is intended as a forum for cultural exchange between member countries of the Pacific Alliance and Indonesia through cinematography," expressed Jakarta Regional Secretariat Cooperation Bureau Head Marulina Dewi Mutiara at Jakarta City Hall, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Pacific Alliance-Indonesia Film Festival will be held from 2 PM to 7:40 PM with the following films screened:
- "Mezquite's Heart”, a Mexican film that tells the story of a Yoreme girl (one of the indigenous groups in Mexico) fighting for her dream to play the harp, which according to cultural tradition is only played by men
- "Amucha", a short film from Chile about the life of a Grandfather and his grandson living on the coast of the Araucanía region, during the pre-Columbian period. It tells how family life mingles with signs about the path of life that the grandfather can't avoid
- “The Birders”, a Colombian film that showcases biodiversity through a simple display of the beautiful birds that inhabit the country. It aims to change the perception of Colombia by showing the diversity of birds that live there. Viewers will be transported through the Colombian landscape, highlighting some of its locations, culture, birds, and music
- "Ringroad", an Indonesian film that won the Jakarta Film Week Award, directed by Andrew Kose, and
