Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan became a speaker at the Jakarta Future of Work talk show at the Taman Ismail Marzuki TIM Jakarta Arts Center, Cikini, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (8/21).
Indonesia is an extraordinary land of opportunity
In the talk show themed 'Am I Relevant?', he stated that Indonesia is a land of extraordinary opportunities. Therefore, residents, especially millennials should be more open in this modern and advanced era.
He also encouraged residents to continue working, producing breakthroughs, and novelties in any field. Residents were also asked to position themselves not only as citizens of Jakarta and Indonesia but the world.

Jakarta is indeed a destination for people to work from everywhere but the opportunity for progress and development is everywhere in Indonesia. Don't just look at opportunities in Jakarta, look at Indonesia," he stated.
He also shared his vision of making Jakarta a city on par with other cities in the world and on the global radar.
He hoped that Jakarta is one of the most important cities in the world, where people from other countries can learn from Jakarta about the changes that have been made.
"On the other hand, Jakarta is looking to invite global talent to come to this city," he continued.
He revealed that the city continues to be a place where every potential can flourish and every work reaches globally.
At this time, Jakarta was heading as a Global City. By so, world-class qualified human resources (HR) are interested in coming to Jakarta and interacting socially with residents.
As a matter of fact, Indonesians who interact with global talent work abroad such as in Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London, instead of in Jakarta.
“We want Jakarta as a Global City to bring global talent that has an impact on the world in this city. If you are pursuing something related to a global city like Jakarta, so the opportunity is in this city," he stated.
