The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Disparekraf) Agency is holding the 2022 Jakarta Travel Fair (JTF) by promoting cheap tour packages to visit Jakarta #kotakolaborasi in Balikpapan from October 7 to 9, 2022.

Besides locations and attractions, Jakarta as a global city also has the potential

It aims to strengthen the promotion of tourism in the capital city.

After success in Medan and Makassar, the JTF will tour the E-Walk Balikpapan Mall from 10 AM to 9 PM to invite Balikpapan residents to travel to Jakarta.

Themed #Jakcation, Feel The Urban Vibe, the event offers a variety of affordable tour packages and makes it easy to visit the capital city.

Balikpapan residents will enjoy a variety of Jakarta arts, moments with the local Balikpapan community, games, quizzes with prizes from Jakarta merchandise, talk programs, and various discounted tour packages, as well as performances from Saykoji and Disco Pantera.

The event organizer collaborated with tourism business activists and the capital's creative economy such as travel bureaus (tour operators and travel agents), hotels, as well as the Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition (MICE), tourist attractions such as tourist attractions, malls, venues who are enthusiastic about introducing the evolution of Jakarta.

Tourism Industry Division Head, Dedi Sumardi expressed that the attraction of Jakarta with its many iconic tourist sites has a high domestic tourism demand, especially with the reshuffle of an increasingly inclusive concept.

"The revitalization that has taken place at several points such as the Kota Tua (Old City), Taman Ismail Marzuki, has made tourists more comfortable with eco-friendly infrastructure. Likewise, the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is getting more and more shiny and ready to become a tourist destination and educate residents," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Friday (10/7).

Based on the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry's data, domestic tourist destinations are still the prima donna for residents to vacation and spend time with family.

The Mobile Positioning Data (MDP) shows that domestic tourists have experienced increasing growth since 2019.

It is noted that the number of tourist enthusiasts by domestic tourists will touch 525 million movements in 2021 and it is projected that throughout 2022 to increase by 550 million movements.

Numbers certainly promise a big opportunity, one of them is for Jakarta in capturing opportunities for domestic tourists to visit Jakarta who are ready with a choice of urban tourism with complete digitalized facilities.

"Besides locations and attractions, Jakarta as a global city also has the potential for MICE tourism as a reference. There are more options, ranging from hundreds of hotels with complete facilities to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which can accommodate a total capacity of up to 82,000 people. Through the Digital Nomad Island program, facilities and infrastructure continue to be a concern thus activities and productivity can be well accommodated," he added.

The Jakarta administration applied the pentahelix concept as stipulated in Ministerial Regulation No. 14/2016 on Guidelines for Sustainable Tourism Destinations to synergize with various parties.

Innovation and promotion were developed based on research by experts and academics, accepted and supported by tourism industry activists from various sectors, and disseminated by the media and the community for the sake of equitable distribution of information thus it can be conveyed and prepare all urban tourist destinations in providing new experiences for domestic tourists to enjoy Jakarta #kotakolaborasi holistically.

The event itself has anything to do with the support and collaboration with various parties represented by the East Kalimantan Tourism Agency Secretary, Muhammad Irvan Rivai; East Kalimantan DPD ASITA Chairman, Syarifudin Tangalindo; and Jakarta Tourism Forum Chairman, Salman Dianda Anwar.

It is recorded that dozens of tourism activists will join the 2022 Jakarta Travel Fair in Balikpapan, such as the Ancol Dreamland (Fantasy World, Sea World Ancol, Ocean Dream Samudra, Atlantis Water Adventures) tourist attractions, Coconut Vacations, Bung Karno Gelora Complex Management Center, Seribu Islands/Sheila Tour, Tripwe, Charisma, Favehotel LTC Glodok – Jakarta, Ashley Hotel Jakarta, The Orient Jakarta A Royal Hideaway Hotel, Yuan Garden Pasar Baru, Century Park Jakarta Hotel, Orchardz Hotel, Best Western Plus Kemayoran Hotel, Swiss-Belhotel Mangga Besar, Royal Palm Hotel & Conference Center Jakarta, The Ascott Limited, Mercure Jakarta Sabang Hotel, Zuri Management Hotel, Ra Hospitality, Waringin Hospitality, Bidakara Jakarta Hotel, favehotel Gatot Subroto – Jakarta, Novotel & Ibis Styles Mangga Dua Square Jakarta, eL Royale Jakarta Hotel, Bluesky Pandurata, Teraskita Jakarta Hotel managed by Dafam, Discovery Hotels & Resort (Borobudur Jakarta Hotel and Discovery Ancol Hotel) and Old Shanghai A restaurant that will be present and ready to provide information and the best tour packages for all visitors who attend and make transactions at the 2022 Jakarta Travel Fair.
