Acting Governor Heru Appreciates Blood Donor Action by UB-PMI IKA

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, attended the blood donation social action held by the Brawijaya University Alumni Association and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) at the Emevated B Parking Building, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Central Jakarta, Sunday (10/23).

Thank you to the donors who have participated in this activity. Hope it will be successful in the future

He appreciated the humanitarian activity in the form of blood donation since 2020 which was held regularly by Universitas Brawijaya alumni.

"This is a good activity," he said.

Governor Appreciates Jakarta PMI and Donors who Save Lives through Blood Donation

He hoped that it could be an example for alumni associations and other organizations considering it was able to maintain PMI's bloodstock and help people who need blood and make the donor's body healthier.

"Thank you to the donors who have participated in this activity. Hope it will be successful in the future," he expressed.

IKA UB Chief Executive, Dida Sarkan explained today's blood donation is the third time that this has been done. It had become an annual routine agenda.

There were around 1,000 donors who applied online and 300 registrants on the spot.

"Alhamdulillah, there are so many enthusiastic donors today. We'll never tire of holding humanitarian events like this," he concluded.

Along with PMI, his party handed over 100 food packages to GBK administrators and residents in need.

One of the donors, Firman (28) admitted that he regularly participates in blood donation, as it makes his immune system stronger and healthier.

"I want to share because there are still many of our friends who need blood," he closed.
