2,188 Business Premises in Kramat Jati Market will Soon Be Revitalized

As many as 2,188 business premises in the Kramat Jati Main Market, East Jakarta will soon be revitalized with the aim of creating convenience to customers and traders.

It will be completed in about 18 months

Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) Development Agency Acting Head, Fitria Rahadiani expressee the Kramat Jati Market revitalization is done to follow up on the Acting Governor's direction to make all traditional markets look beautiful and clean.

"I give three directions in revitalizing this market, namely a market that is clean, not muddy, and odorless. Pasar Jaya party determines what the technical criteria are," she said Friday (12/2).

KBT Area will Be Revitalized Soon

There would be several traditional markets revitalized. It was expected to attract Jakarta residents to love shopping at traditional markets.

"This is free of Regional Investment (PMD), but cooperation scheme with investors. Hopefully, the market services will be much better in the future, especially since this is a central market," she stated.

Peruma Pasar Jaya President Director, Tri Prasetyo explained that the revitalization work involved the private sector, namely PT RKM with a business to business cooperation scheme. In the future, thousands of business places will be revitalized.

"During the revitalization, we will place traders in temporary locations around the market. It will be completed in about 18 months," he explained.

His party remains committed to supporting the movement of the economy in Jakarta. Moreover, this wholesale market is the main support for the basic needs of residents in Greater Jakarta.

"One of the things that will be revitalized is the fruit market. The fruit is an important part of supporting the nutritional adequacy of Jakarta people and its surrounding areas. Hope this revitalization will become a charity and a legacy for all of us," he closed.
