Basuki Discusses PNS Salary with MenPAN-RB

To get an overall picture of the civil servants (PNS) salaries, Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja 'Ahok' Purnama held discussion with Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Minister, Yuddy Chrisnandi, at City Hall, Tuesday (2/3).

Basuki said, the increase of salary or take home pay that will be received by Jakarta civil servants is one of bureaucracy reform in the capital. Moreover, the salary system or known as the dynamic provincial performance allowance (TKD) will become the pilot project for other provinces.
"I want to meet the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister. We want to discuss about it, including the civil servant's salaries system in Indonesia," said Basuki, at City Hall, Tuesday (2/3).
Mass Inauguration of Echelon Auction Runs 2015According to Basuki, the provincial performance allowance system is in accordance with President Joko Widodo instruction about bureaucracy reform through performance allowance.
"It is the continuation of President's idea who wants create one province as the figure. The figure should have the calculation, not only raise the salary, but also have the some points to assess the performance," he uttered.
He mentioned, the dynamic allowance will be granted in accordance with civil servants performance. The better they work, the higher their allowance. The assessment will use point system and will be adjusted by each regional capability.
In Jakarta, Basuki continued, the city revenue (PAD) in 2014 reached Rp 45 trillion or 69.25 percent. So the point can go up by Rp 5,000 to Rp 10,000 for each PNS job.
"Dynamic allowance is about the point. If the regional has small local revenue, the point can be reduced. If your regional have better local revenue, you can raise the point from Rp 5,000 to Rp 10,000. This point will be discussed by us to get same perception," Basuki explained.
As reported earlier, Jakarta civil servant's salaries will increase drastically starting this year. The head of urban village could receive Rp 33 million per month, Rp 44 million for head of sub-district, head of bureau would receive Rp 70 million, and head of department could receive Rp 75 million. While the civil servants in staff position would get Rp 9 million.
