Civil Servants` Salary Cut Rp 500 Thousand if They Late

To improve the discipline of civil servants (PNS), Jakarta Provincial Government will apply a firm sanction for bad performance PNS especially the one who usually come late to the office.

This is aimed to improve our supervision, First, we will give individual sanction for the bad performance PNS

Head of Inspectorate Jakarta, Lasro Marbun said to apply individual sanction and collective sanction that will be given to PNS. For individual sanction will be rated from their attendance, if they come late, their salary will be cut of Rp 500 thousand per minutes.

"This is aimed to improve our supervision, First, we will give individual sanction for the bad performance PNS. If they late, we will cut their salary by Rp 500 thousands per minute," told Marbun at City Hall, Thursday (1/29).

Bad Performance PNS Easily Fired

Then as the collective sanction, their salary will cut up to 10 percent for two months in a row for all PNS in one SKPD (Provincial Working Unit). The Sanction will be given if one people in SKPD is proven to do corruption, extortion, and skipping work.

"And for collective sanction, will be given to all person in the unit if one of the people in SKPD or UKPD does extortion. I think the amount is very big. 10 percent from Rp 80 million could reach Rp 8 million," he said.

He mentioned, his side is revising the Governor Regulation (Pergub) that manage the sanction for PNS. The Pergub is expected to complete on upcoming February so the regulation can immediately be applied." The Pergub is under revision now, we hope it will complete in February," he uttered.
