During August 2022, he explained, the total workforce reached 4.88 million people. 3.08 million of them work in the formal sector and 1.80 million in the informal sector. It was driven by the higher education level of workers in Jakarta.

"The open unemployment rate in this period was 7.18 percent. Compared to August 2021, there has been a decrease of 0.82 percent," he added.

In September 2022, the inflation rate rose by 2.06 percent due to the government's policy of increasing the price of fuel oil (BBM).
