Several Kembangan Utara PPSU personnel, Kembangan Sub-district, West Jakarta, use their spare time to turn used tires into useful ones.

The results of these guys' creativity have been felt

Kembangan Utara Urban Village Head, Rudi Hariyanto said five out of 83 PPSzu personnel were assigned to turn used car and motorbike tires into more useful items.

"In between their routine activities, they have the additional task of turning used tire waste into useful items," he expressed, Monday (2/6).

According to him, waste tires were found by PPSU personnel on roads or in garbage dumps.

He explained that the used tire waste was then collected at the post to be made into more useful items such as used as containers for plant pots, benches, tables, and so forth.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), the results of these guys' creativity have been felt. Plant pots, benches, and tables made of used tires have been placed in the harmony garden of the West Jakarta Mayor's office and the Kompas Horticulture Park," he explained.

Thus far, his party has made two sets of tables and eight chairs, as well as 11 plant pots from waste tires.

"The production of creative products from used tires will continue to be placed at some points so as to beautify the area," he stated.
