"I urge all residents to help (by maintaining health and nutritional intake since pregnancy), as the birth process, both mother and child must be healthy. I believe that every stakeholder involved can work on preventing stunting. Hopefully, pregnant women could always maintain their health with adequate nutrition for giving birth to healthy children as the next generation of this nation," he explained.
BKKBN Head, Hasto Wardoyo explained according to President Joko' Jokowi' Widodo's direction during the BKKBN National Working Meeting (Rakernas) some time ago, inviting entrepreneurs on the island of Java to work together in efforts to reduce stunting. The large population on the island of Java would become a national barometer for reducing stunting rates.
"This is the President's main concern and his direction is to move the role of society in synergy. That's why mutual cooperation is important. Then, Insya Allah (Thank God), in Jakarta, Today's stunting is as desired by President Joko Widodo, which is around 14%," he concluded.
