Previously, I only sold wholesale, starting from Rp 10,000 to Rp 22,000 per item
Since becoming a Jakpreneur in 2022, the Ondel-ondel craft business, which is occupied by a resident of Jalan Kawi Bawah, RT 09/08, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta has grown rapidly.
He admitted he learned a lot about sewing techniques and making hat and bag patterns using patchwork during a five-day training last year.
Parekraf Agency Promotes Jakpreneur Products at U20 Summit"After joining, I immediately took sewing training. Of course, I grew more and more developed in sewing Ondel-ondel clothes with various models. Then I got additional knowledge on making hats and bags," he expressed, Tuesday (2/14).
He also often gets the opportunity to promote his products in bazaar activities held by the Central Jakarta administration.
"Because I often participate in bazaars, my products are increasingly recognized by the wider community. In fact, many eventually become my resellers," he explained.
Through this promotional support, his Ondel-ondel sales income skyrocketed to Rp 30 million. Previously, his income had never hit the tens of millions due to a lack of marketing knowledge.
"Previously, I only sold wholesale, starting from Rp 10,000 to Rp 22,000 per item," he expressed.
Even, he can entrust his products to the Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency, so his Ondel-ondel craft business has many resellers.
"So now I focus on selling products to my resellers. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), my subordinates now have 12 people," he explained.
In the future, he also plans to sell ID card hangers, wallets, and hats so his business can grow.
"This training is very important and useful for our business. I invite other residents to make the best use of this opportunity," he stated.
