The Jatinegara Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, East Jakarta is building a water channel in the residential area of Jalan Cipinang Indah Raya, RT 06/ RW 09 Cipinang Muara Village, precisely in front of Cipinang Muara Elementary School 19-20 Pagi.

Hopefully, it can minimize inundation when it rains

Jatinegara SDA Field Coordinator, Musdi stated the channel will have 50 meters long, 40 centimeters wide, and 40 centimeters high.

"Indeed, the residential here doesn't have yet a channel," he expressed, Friday (2/17).

According to him, it is carried out by six workers and has been ongoing since early February. It is targeted to be completed in early March. The channel itself will be connected to the connecting line that is already on the side of the road.

"This is conducted manually," he explained.

Rasmi (48), a resident of Cipinang Indah, RT 06/RW 09 appreciated the Jatinegara Sub-district SDA Executing Unit that was quick to respond to people's requests. So far, the roads in their neighborhood are often flooded, as there are no channels to accommodate water when it rains.

"Hopefully, it can minimize inundation when it rains," she hoped.
