"If the validity period of the KIR test expires, the vehicle owner will be directed by the officer to arrange for the extension of KIR test through the mobile KIR test service at the departure terminal location. With these systems, the vehicle owner can receive the test results in the form of Proof of Passing the Electronic Test (Smartcard) directly at the test site.
"Dishub carried out this ramp check to ensure that the applicable provisions tested the technical and road-worthy requirements as in Law No. 22/2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation," he added.
Some terminals open the mobile KIR test, namely Kampung Rambutan, Pulogebang, Tanjung Priok, Kalideres, Lebak Bulus, and all terminals that serve free mudik (exodus) programs using tour buses.
Currently, Jakarta has six units of mobile KIR test service facilities. After the mudik activity is completed, the service will also be intended for periodic mobile tests at designated locations throughout Jakarta to ensure the safety and comfort of users of the vehicles required to be tested, such as public passenger cars, buses, freight cars, and trains. The Dishub is committed to continuing to improve services through additional capacity for non-static test lane facilities throughout Jakarta.
