KH Hasyim Asy'ari Grand Mosque DKM Secretary, Humaidi Hambali expressed like mosques in general, during Ramadan, various religious activities are held at the mosque located at Jalan Rusunawa Pesakih, No. 14, RT 03/14, Duri Kosambi Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district, West Jakarta.
"There will be many religious activities in our mosque. The activity started with hisab and ru'yatul hilal training to determine the beginning of Ramadan," he stated, Thursday (3/23).
Ramadan Starts Thursday, the Government DeclaresAccording to him, the mosque inaugurated by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo on April 15, 2017 has prepared a variety of activities during Ramadan. They are tarhib Ramadan, takjil sharing, congregational tarawih prayers, Ramadan Islamic boarding schools, commemoration of Nuzulul Quran, itikaf (seclusion in a mosque), collection of ZIS, gema takbir (recitation of quran verses), and Idul Fitri prayers.
"For the tarawih prayers in congregation, a sermon will be held which will be conveyed by the clerics for a full month," he explained.
As for the Ramadan Islamic boarding school, it is intended for junior and senior high school students which will be held for three days.
"We also provide 200 takjil packages and 100 boxed rice every day during Ramadan for people who break their fast at our mosque or people who pass through the mosque area," he uttered.
He added the KH Hasyim Asy'ari Great Mosque was built on two floors on an area of 2.4 hectares with a building area of 1.6 hectares. According to him, after the repeal of the PPKM policy by the central government, he believed that more pilgrims would come compared to during Covid-19 pandemic.
"After the pandemic, hopefully the community can be more optimal in carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan," he hoped.
