E-Ticketing System Gives Many Benefits to PT Transjakarta

Starting last week, PT Transjakarta has applied 100 percent e-ticketing system to improve service for the passengers in 12 Transjakarta corridors. The e-ticketing system is aimed to prevent deviation in ticket sales and reduce the queue.

General Managing PT Transjakarta, Antonius Kosasih said, many benefits with this e-ticket application, as example, PT Transjakarta is no longer needs to prepare coins for passenger's return.

Every day, told Kosasih, Transjakarta's passenger reached more than 300 thousand people per day. That number is far above from the buses number that can serve the citizens, so the bus addition is very necessary.
"Later, we will receive 78 Transjakarta buses from Transportation Department to serve Jabodetabek area besides the bus from our purchase," he revealed.
Meanwhile for the bus stop, Kosasih said, will be equipped with some facilities as Wi-Fi, rest room, and cafeteria to attract citizens to use public transport.
As known, two last corridors as corridor IV (Pulogadung-Dukuh Atas) and corridor VI (Ragunan-Dukuh Atas) have applied e-ticketing, so all Transjakarta bus stops applied e-ticketing system.
