12 Vehicles Towed Due to Illegal Parking

Although we're routinely holding the operation, it never gives deterrent effect

The ranks of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department have towed 12 vehicles and then brought to the Goods Public Transport Terminal and Pulogebang Pool. The owners will be charged a fine of Rp 500 thousand per day. 

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Head, Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu disclosed his party also removed tire valves of 22 cars and 1 motorcycle, as well as ticketed 20 public transports and 1 box car. They were controlled due to illegal parking.

"Although we're routinely holding the operation, it never gives deterrent effect. Whereas, we had towed some vehicles today plus fine as much as Rp 500 per day," he expressed, Wednesday (2/25).

Those vehicles that have been towed are found along Jalan Pemuda (4 vehicles). They are Kijang Innova B 1899 UOX, Kijang Super B 2318 ML, Toyota Yaris B 1634 KKQ and Nisan Serena B 8507 BE.

There are also on Jalan Paus, Jalan Jatinegara Timur (2 vehicles, Jalan Bekasi Timur (2 vehicles), Jalan Persahabatan Utara and Jalan Balai Pustaka.

As for the ticketed vehicles consist of 2 bajajs, 8 KWK public minivans, 3 Metromini minibuses, 3 taxis, 3 box cars, and 1 AKAP bus. They were netted due to stop in a forbidden area and paralyzed traffic flow.
