The event with the theme of the Nyorog Tradition 'The Closer the More Cultured' is slated for two days, Saturday (5/6) and Sunday (5/7).

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga stated various Betawi arts will be performed in this festival, such as Palang Pintu tradition, Betawi Martial Arts, Rampak Bedug drumming music, Wayang Kulit Betawi (shadow puppets), and Ondel-ondel (Betawi effigies) procession.

"Dozens of UKMs will also enliven it by presenting their various products," he expressed, Friday (5/5).

On the first day, Saturday (5/6), the event began with a welcoming ceremony and opening ceremony by East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, from 8 AM to 12 PM.

"On the first day, it is planned to last until 11 PM with the performance of the Betawi Wayang as the closing," he explained.

Then on the second day, there will be various Betawi arts and cultural performances from 7 AM to 4.15 PM.

"The festival will be lively, as it is supported by various communities and elements of society. So, let's come and liven it up," he stated.
