The Seribu Islands Regency administration together with Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Nakertransgi), inspected the substations and electricity supply on Untung Jawa, Pramuka, Harapan, Panjang, and Tidung islands.
Hopefully, in the future, there will be certainty to add electricity to Seribu Islands
Jakarta Nakertransgi Agency Head, Hari Nugroho said the visit was conducted to check the supply and electricity lines needed by the island community.
"One of our tasks is to provide electrification in Seribu Islands. On the island, there has been a double track sea cable built since 2007. So, today we are checking from the substations, cubicles, distribution lines to the mains voltage," he expressed, Wednesday (5/10).

So, it was needed to check to ascertain whether there is a need for additional electricity distribution cubicles or double track underwater cables.
"Yesterday, there was an incident on Tidung Island related to a damaged medium voltage cable. we repaired and replaced it with a new one," he explained.
Seribu Islands Deputy Head, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan added electrical energy was needed to improve the people's economy. Because of that, electrical energy should be renewed to meet public service.
"Hopefully, in the future, there will be certainty to add electricity to Seribu Islands," he stated.
