"Several things were discussed, including the traffic route from the delegates' hotels on Jalan Sudirman, Thamrin, and Gatot Subroto to the venue. Then, there are also plans to mobilize school children to enliven the event and welcome the delegates to Jakarta. The festivities will also be presented through outdoor media, thus the community is well socialized," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID press release.

He said currently the discourse on implementing work from home for the community was being studied as part of the success of holding this series of ASEAN Summit. The discussion would also involve Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya.

"Various preparations for holding the ASEAN Summit series in Jakarta are conducted in mutual cooperation, cross-sectoral cooperation, including road repairs and street light lighting by the Bina Marge Agency, traffic management by the Transportation Agency, and Health Agency preparing doctors needed at location of the accommodation, and Education Agency prepared school children to welcome the delegations from various countries. Every office building in Jakarta can also be enlivened by putting up banners, thus we can bring this celebration together," he explained.

Foreign Ministry Secretary General, Cecep Herawan explained as many as 36 countries and various international organizations would attend the AMM/PMC, while the ASEAN Plus Summit would be attended by 26 countries and international organizations. Hence, coordination with various parties was needed to make this international event a success.

"This is a big event, as the main partner countries will also be present. So, close synergy is needed with the Jakarta Government on how we can jointly make this series of events a success," he explained.

He hoped that the community could be well socialized and support this series of events.

"We agreed that starting in July, hopefully in June, we will be able to carry out massive outreach activities in the midst of the community, which we will carry out together and simultaneously. Thus, there is a complete sense of community ownership of the activities or series of ASEAN meetings in Jakarta," he closed.
