Heru Appreciates NU's Contribution and Role in Treating Tolerance and Advancing Jakarta

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono appreciated the role of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Nahdliyin for their roles and contributions in practicing Islamic teachings, maintaining tolerance between religions, advancing the city and the welfare of Jakarta people.

This is in line with the aspirations of Jakarta Province

According to him, with the spirit of togetherness, we could contribute to the progress of Jakarta which will have a positive impact on Indonesia.

"This is in line with the aspirations of Jakarta Province, namely Sukses Jakarta untuk Indonesia (Jakarta's Success for Indonesia)," he expressed, on the sidelines of Halal-bihalal between Jakarta PWNU with Acting Governor at City Hall, Wednesday (5/24).

Ahead of the 2023 ASEAN Summit and the holding of simultaneous elections and local elections in 2024, Jakarta will become the host as well as a barometer of the success of national activities.

"I invite the big family of Jakarta PWNU to take part in maintaining the situation in Jakarta, thus it remains safe, peaceful, and conducive," he stated.

He felt happy to stay in touch with the Jakarta PWNU Big Family. According to him, gathering is one of the noble acts of worship because it gives many blessings.

"Among them are prolonging life and strengthening ukhuwah Islamiyah, Wathaniyah, and Insaniyah which are the foundation of social life in Islam," he closed.
