Vice President, Ma'ruf Amin opened the Indonesia Water and Wastewater Expo and Forum (IWWEF) event held at the Bidakara Hotel, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/6).

"Hence, the provision of clean water and proper sanitation can't be denied. In the RPJM 2020 - 2024, the government is targeting 100 percent of households to have access to proper drinking water, including 15 percent safe drinking water and 30 percent piped water," he explained.
Perpamsi Chairman, Lalu Ahmad Zaini explained the IWWEF is held to answer various challenges related to drinking water and wastewater by bringing together managers, professionals, academics, researchers, and business people as well as policy makers to discuss the latest developments and innovations in drinking water supply and waste water management.
"Through this event, Perpamsi participates in promoting sustainable and efficient drinking water and wastewater management practices. As well as encouraging the adoption of new technologies and innovations that can help address water-related challenges in Indonesia," he continued.
He added IWWEF is Perpamsi's biennial event which has strategic significance for the development of the world of drinking water and waste water in the country.
"It is the meeting point for the three components that determine the development of drinking water and wastewater, namely BUMD, the business world and the government," he finished.
