Sukabumi Park in Menteng Area Being Revitalized

The Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency revitalizes Sukabumi Park on Jalan Sukabumi, Menteng.

Hopefully, the park will be greener and tidier in the future

Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda said the condition of Sukabumi Park had been damaged a lot. Even, the basketball court in the park area was often inundateed during heavy rains and there was a shortage of land for children's playground areas.

"So, we revitalize this park. We will build a retention pond on a 160-square-meter ex-basketball court," he stated, Wednesday (6/7).

Interactive Park will Soon Be Built on Kelapa Dua Island

In this 2,200-square-meter park, a children's playground area, there would be a field for yoga and a jogging track.

"The sidewalks around the park are also being revitalized," he explained.

Its revitalization has been ongoing since 2 days and is targeted to be completed in 90 days ahead.

"We spend fund by Rp 2.6 billion from City Budget (APBD)," he explained.

By doing so, the park would become more widely used by residents as recreation and interaction spaces.

"Hopefully, the park will be greener and tidier in the future," he stated.
