7,539 Points of Damaged Roads in Central Jakarta Repaired

The North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency has noted as many as 7,539 points of damaged and potholed roads in six sub-districts during December 2022 to mid-July 2023.

The repair uses cold mix and hotmix asphalts

North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency's Road and Bridge Division Head, Budi Cahyo expressed the area of potholes at each point varies from ten centimeters to one meter in diameter with 15 centimeters deep at each location.

"The repair uses cold mix and hotmix asphalts," he said, Wednesday (7/26).

Four Damaged Roads in Glodok Repaired

He went on to say that the total area of the 7,539 damaged and potholed road points that were repaired reached 74,276.6 square meters. Of the total number, 5,400 points were repaired using cold mix asphalt and the remaining 2,139 points using hot mix asphalt.

There were several factors that trigger road damage, including water erosion and inundation, as well as heavy vehicles passing by.

"We will continue to make improvements for the convenience of riders," he stated.
