The Jakarta Cipta Karya, Spatial Planning and Land Affairs Agency (CKTRP) officially launched Informasi Rencana Kota "City Planning Information" (IRK) 2.0 on the jakartasatu.jakarta.go.id portal.

Updating the system is aimed to ensure that IRK can better respond to community needs

The launch carried out in conjunction with the Socialization of Detailed Spatial Planning (RDTR)/2023 at Sari Pacific, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday (8/21).

Jakarta CKTRP Agency Head, Heru Hermawanto said the launch of IRK 2.0 is a progressive step in supporting city development through the development of the IRK system.

He explained this initiative aims to broaden and deepen public access to information on RDTR provisions that have been stipulated by the Gubernatorial Regulation Number 31/2022.

"Updating the system is aimed to ensure that IRK can better respond to community needs, in line with the latest RDTR regulations," he explained.

He went on to say that the IRK has become an important tool in providing information about spatial planning and its utilization plan on the applicant's planning land before proceeding with the licensing process.

However the RDTR publication with more complex provisions made it crucial to update the IRK application to provide more in-depth, accurate, and effective information.

"This update marks a step forward in addressing the latest RDTR complexities," he furthered.

According to him, a better system is capable of providing more specific information, accommodate a more diverse combination of conditions such as, conditions for the construction of residential/dwelling houses according to the applicant's land area and the number of floors to be built, provisions for the maximum floor area of flats according to the distance from the transit point , conditions of permitted, and prohibited activities.

"Including conditional and limited permitted activities, provisions if the applicant's land consists of more than one sub-zone/land allotment such as trade and housing, and various other provisions," he added.

Spatial Utilization Head for CKTRP Agency, Merry Morfosa uttered the new IRK is presented with easier features and is embedded in the SMART RDTR on the jakartasatu.jakarta.go.id portal, and can be accessed independently, allowing applicants to simply explore urban plans or for the sake of permitting spatial use.

"It is expected to encourage communities to make intelligent decisions on an informed basis about their land use," she said.

By this system, the Government was committed to realizing more transparent, effective, and efficient spatial planning.

"We also want to prioritize active participation to embrace a shared vision in realizing an improved quality of life for all Jakarta residents," she stated.
