Disposal Site Threatened to Be Demolished

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) is about to displacing the waste disposal site (LPS) and depot around Kebayoran Lama train station due to expansion of the platform. 

Depot Jiban will be automatically demolished due to the area will be a Platform expansion

One of depots is located on Jalan Jiban, RW 1 Grogol Selatan. the depot which is in PT KAI Property is threatened to be demolished as far as 30 meters thus it is no longer as LPS for citizens.

" Depot Jiban will be automatically demolished due to the area will be a platform expansion," said Vice Head of Jakarta Cleansing Department, Isnawa Adji, Monday (3/16).

Isnawa told, besides the depot, the expansion double track project will demolish the houses and street around the location. 

"I personally want PT. KAI will understand, if the project runs,the houses and the street will also be demolished," he told. 

"The former of Tambora Sub-District Head stated, until now, his side still keep discussing about the problem with PT KAI as the project would make protest from the citizens. 

"Later, the citizens could not find the other places to waste the garbage. We keep on this project yet we don't have any solution," he stated. 

Adji explained, PT KAI  used the law of railways on this project. Thus they give no tolerance for the depot or the other building around the station," he expressed. 

"PT KAI said it breaks the rules where as the depot is only 2 meters over the station. It is supposed be allowed." he explained. 

He revealed, currently, his side still cannot find the location to displace the depot site. As there are no citizens who is willing to sell their land. 

"It is hard to find the right location due to high resistance of citizens. And it was cancelled again as the citizens refuse to have the depot around their house," he uttered.
