Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono opened the kick off event and high level meeting of the development data consignment at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (8/24).
The Jakarta Government wants to accelerate data similarity
This meeting was held to accelerate one development data between the Jakarta Government and the central government.
"The Jakarta Government wants to accelerate data similarity because it is closely related to the use of the budget prepared in the Revised City Budget (APBD) and 2024 APBD. We are very concerned about this one development data. Especially later data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Social Ministry, Bappenas, and Coordinating Ministry. Because the Government has a social safety net budget that is quite a lot," he expressed.
Heru Collaborates with Polda Metro Jaya to Succeed ASEAN SummitIn distributing social safety nets to the public, it should be done based on data, thus they are right on target, namely data from the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and the Targeting for the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Elimination (P3KE).
"If our data is unclear, there will be an element of waste in the APBD and inaccuracy in targeting the recipients of the social safety net program. Because of that, we want the data for one development to be accelerated. If possible this September, it will already be available. Thus, our policies in the Revised APBD and 2024 APBD are not wrong," he explained.
All social safety net programs are targeted at low-income people (MBR) to alleviate poverty and extreme poverty in Jakarta.
He asserted the Government had to help poor people get out of poverty or extreme poverty.
"We have to take care of the poor in Jakarta. That's the point. So, the goal is to accelerate one development data. If it's been updated, we can make social safety net budget efficiencies, so we can make budget savings, but can still be on target," he explained.
He went on to say that the budget resulting from efficiency could be diverted to support other development programs in Jakarta, such as the development of public transportation such as Light Rapid Transit (LRT) and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Transjakarta, repair of slum RWs, and the provision of clean water for residents.
"The data must really fix. Because if we can make budget efficiency, we can use that budget for other development programs. Once again for whom? for Jakarta residents, especially low-income people," he stated.
