In the meantime, the President explained that this mode of public transportation with a rail line along 41.2 kilometers was ready to operate. The train would operate from Harjamukti in Depok, West Java, Jati Mulya in Bekasi, West Java to Dukuh Atas in Jakarta.
"As we know, as many as 996,000 vehicles come to Jakarta every day. It causes traffic jams and pollution. That's why, we have the MRT, LRT, Commuter line, Transjakarta, and airport train where we want the community to switch to public transportation," he explained.
He hoped that the community could use them as public transportation alternatives, especially for those who are around Cibubur, Bekasi, and its surrounding areas. "By doing so, we want traffic jams and pollution to be resolved," he added.
As for the information, LRT Jabodebek has 18 stations in two cross-services, namely Cibubur Line and Bekasi Line. The Cibubur Line serves trips from Harjamukti Station in Depok, West Java, to Dukuh Atas Station in Jakarta and crosses 12 stations with 24.3 kilometers distance.
Then the Bekasi Line serves trips from Jati Mulya Station in Bekasi to Dukuh Atas Station and crosses 14 stations with 27.3 kilometers distance. Within one month after the inauguration, the LRT fare will be flat at Rp 5,000 for all long-short distance trips.
