HI Roundout's Pedestrian Bridge Set as Pilot Project

A number of pedestrian bridges (JPO) which spread in the capital city are beautified. One of them is the Indonesia Hotel (HI) Roundabout's pedestrian bridge in Central Jakarta. Some flower pots are seen laid out alongside the bridge.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama disclosed his party will beautify some bridges.

"Yes, the HI's pedestrian bridge will be used as a standard model to other bridges. It would be tendered, containing thousands of bus stops and bridges," he explained, at City Hall, Wednesday (3/18).

"Thus, all bridges' models would be the same in future. As you know, I saw a pedestrian bridge transformed into a store like the Sky Bridge in Hong Kong," he revealed.

Besides bridge, Ahok continued, some markets and flats will also be re-arranged.

"Tambora Flat is also our standard model. We also intend to arrange the folk markets and its standardization. I believe there will be no more complaints from people later," he uttered.
