Dirty, 21 Stalls Along Meruya Selatan Sidewalk Torn Down

Around 20 Satpol PP personnel tore down at least 21 illegal stalls stood atop the sidewalks of Jalan Meruya and Jalan H Saaba, Meruya Selatan Urban Village, Kembangan, West Jakarta, Thursday (3/26). This is because its existence has disrupted the pedestrian and make the place dirty. 

If the stalls are demolished, the sidewalks will be getting disrepair and dirty. It also disturbs the pedestrian

Prior to demolishment, the Kembangan Sub-District side claimed that they had warned the stalls owners repeatedly. "If the stalls are demolished, the sidewalks will be getting disrepair and dirty. It also disturbs the pedestrian," explained Sub-District Head, Slamet Riyadi. 

25 Illegal Stalls In Tebet Timur Demolished

Riyadi stated in future, his side would put flower pots along the sidewalks. 

Rivai (42), one of stalls owners admitted he protested the demolishment and requested for a time to find another location before his stall demolished.
