Jakarta Government Wins Anindhita Wistara Data Award

The Provincial Government, achieved the second best title of the three provinces that received the Anindhita Wistara Data award from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) as a work unit with a "Good" Statistical Development Index score.

This title was achieved thanks to achieving a score of 3.11 in the 2023 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation Program (EPSS). The award was given at the Agricultural Census Dissemination event in Jakarta on Monday (12/4).

Jakarta Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Diskomonfotik) Head, Sigit Wijatmoko said EPSS is a systematic and measurable assessment through verification and validation of information on the results of self-assessments to measure the level of maturity in implementing sectoral statistics.

He went on to say that the Jakarta Government is serious about managing sectoral data based on the One Data Indonesia (SDI) principle. It is done to make the data managed is centralized and of high quality. With quality data, it was expected to support better development planning and provide benefits to the people of Jakarta.

"We're grateful that the Jakarta Government's hard work in managing data based on SDI principles has resulted in this impressive achievement. We express our gratitude for the guidance and direction from the Acting Governor, thus data management in Jakarta continues to apply the one data principle," he expressed, in the Jakarta Government's press release, Friday (12/15).

According to him, the Anindhita Wistara Data award could raise the enthusiasm of Jakarta officials to continue playing an active role in advancing the country and providing benefits through quality data management.

"We mustn't be complacent about achieving this award. In fact, the Anindhita Wistara Data award should be an even higher encouragement for Jakarta to improve quality data management," he expressed.

The Anindhita Wistara Data Award is a form of BPS appreciation for the commitment and achievements of ministries/institutions/regional governments in the Evaluation of Implementation of Sectoral Statistics.
