Heru Inaugurates 450 Administrator and Supervisory Officials

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, inaugurated and took the oath of office for 450 officials of Administrator and Supervisory under the Jakarta Provincial Government at Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (12/19).

The inauguration is based on the Jakarta Governor's Decree Number 872/2023 dated December 18, 2023 on the Appointment, Transfer and Dismissal of Civil Servant Administrators (PNS) under the Jakarta Government.

As well as the Jakarta Governor's Decree Number 873/2023 dated December 18, 2023 on the Appointment, Transfer, and Dismissal of Civil Servant (PNS) Supervisory Officials under the Jakarta Government.

After being inaugurated, he led the oath of office followed by signing the minutes and symbolically attaching the badge of office.

On that occasion, he urged ASNs to understand the concept of Jakarta as a Global City. He assessed, with the same understanding between officials at the regional and provincial levels, the implementation of Jakarta as a Global City could be realized well.

"We have a Global City concept. I ask the newly appointed ladies and gentlemen to study Jakarta's goal of becoming a global city in simple language. If you don't know, you can ask Bappeda and the City Secretary's assistants. I don't want any urban village and sub-district heads who don't understand the concept of a Global City," he expressed.

He explained revitalizing parks or idle land into green parks, developing electricity-based Transjakarta public transportation, increasing community resilience and handling stunting were part of implementing the concept of the City of Jakarta as a Global City.

"It is part of the path to Global City. We'll head there. So learn, understand and apply. Because whatever the position, it will definitely lead to that direction," he explained.

He continued the promotions, rotations and transfers, as well as confirmations are common things in an organization.

Hopefully, all appointed officials woulsld remain enthusiastic about working and learn the main duties and functions of their new position quickly, thus they are able to work well.

"So after being appointed, whether promoted, or confirmed or the nomenclature changed, Mr. and Mrs. continued to work well. Returning from here, the main duties of the new position are immediately studied so that you can work as well as possible," he added.

He also urged the appointed officials to go to their respective regions in a bid to resolve problems found in the field.

"Also be compact on social media in explaining and straightening out to the public if there is bad news. Your performance will be monitored for the next six months," he uttered.
