The Jakarta Provincial Government won General Champion in the 2023 Indonesia Digital Initiative Award at the Borobudur Hotel, Central Jakarta, Thursday evening (12/21).

The title of General Champion is determined based on the achievements of the Jakarta Government which won First Place in the Best Social Media User Category and First Place in the Best Application User Category.
Jakarta Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency (Kominfotik) Acting Head, Sigit Wijatmoko expressed the award is a motivation for Jakarta Government officials to encourage the use of social media and government applications for positive things for the progress of the City of Jakarta.

We encourage the use of digital services that are smart, solutions, and responsible," he expressed, in the Jakarta Government's press release, Friday (12/22).
Representing the Acting Governor to receive the award, Jakarta Kominfotik Agency's Public Division Head, Koharudin, also expressed his appreciation to the people who use the Jakarta Government's digital services.
"We thank the people of Jakarta who have followed the Jakarta Government's social media and used the JAKI application. We keep working hard to provide information that is clear, useful, and has a good impact on the public through communication media managed by the Kominfotik Agency," he explained.
As for the information, the Indonesia Digital Initiative Award has been running since 2019. It is a form of appreciation for the transparency and implementation of digital innovation by the government, either ministries/agencies or regional governments.
The Indonesia Digital Initiative Awards (IDIA) was initiated by media practitioners, experts, academics, and digital information technology companies who have a strong commitment to overseeing the evolution of digital technology and current information flows for the sake of the nation's progress.
