Thousands of Tourists Start to Pack Seribu Islands

Thousands of local and foreign tourists are starting to flock to the Seribu Islands area ahead of the Christmas 2023 and New Year holidays 2024.

Tourists come from four entrances

Promotion Attraction and Creative Economy Division Head, Ahmad Farihin said these tourists came from various piers in large numbers

4,137 people as of Saturday (12/23).

"Tourists come from four entrances. At the Muara Angke Pier, there are 2,531 people, 1,064 people at Marina Ancol, 471 people at Tanjung Pasir, and 71 people at Cituis," he expressed, Sunday (12/24).

According to him, the number of tourists is predicted to continuously increase considering that this year's Christmas holiday will be used by tourists to enjoy the atmosphere in Seribu Islands.

"The Seribu Islands' close proximity to mainland Jakarta makes it an easily accessible destination for a holiday," he explained.

He added those tourists go on holiday to visit famous resort islands and resident islands. These included Pramuka Island, Tidung Island, Pari Island, Untung Jawa Island, Harapan Island, Kelapa Island, Bidadari Island, Putri Island, Pelangi Island, and Macan Island.

"Many of these islands offer a variety of natural beauty, beaches, and marine tourism," he stated.
