The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has noted that as many as 7,422 people have packed the Muara Angke Port, Pluit, North Jakarta from December 23 to 25, to visit tour sites in Seribu Islands during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Regional Port Management Unit I (UPPD) for Muara Angke Port Head, Ahmad Gozali said the highest spike in passenger numbers occurred on Sunday (12/24) or D-1 of the Christmas holiday with a total of 3,143 people.
On Saturday (11/23) or D-2, there were 2,078 people and 1,571 people on Monday (11/25).

Thus far, he explained, around 21 traditional boats and seven vessels had been alerted to deal with the surge in passengers. All of them docking at Muara Angke Harbor had previously passed a physical inspection for the safety and security of passengers.
"Regarding ticket prices, they are still stable. Its reservations still use the application," he explained.
He predicted that a surge in passengers would occur again in D-2 of the New Year 2024. Residents were urged to use boat transportation to always be aware of changes in the weather.
"Thus far, the situation at Muara Angke Port is smooth, orderly, and safe, including the weather," he closed.
