85 New Channels Built in East Jakarta During 2023

Some 85 new water channels have been built in several areas spread across East Jakarta during 2023 after passing through the e-catalog system phase.

East Jakarta Drainage Development and Improvement Sector Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri said the water channel construction in 85 locations was divided into seven stages. For stages one to three, there were 12 channels each.
Then stage four has 14 channels, stage five has 17 channels, stage six has eight channels, and stage seven has 10 channels.

Those channels were located on Jalan Giri Kencana RW 02 Cilangkap along 669 meters using a U-ditch concrete measuring 60x60 centimeters along 644 meters and a box culvert measuring 60 centimeters along 25 meters.
Then channel construction on Jalan Lewa RW 10 Pekayon Urban Village using a U-Ditch along 489 meters; channel on Jalan Sukapura Timur 6 Gg. Senggol RW 09 Cakung Barat using a U-Ditch measuring 40 centimeters and a box culvert measuring 80 centimeters.
Channel along 358 meters on Jalan Rorotan IX Gg. 4 Cakung Timur using a U-Ditch measuring 80 centimeters and a box culvert, as well as so forth.
His party also built a channel using the jacking method on Jalan Swadaya Raya, Pondok Ranggon Urban Village, Cipayung. Its length reaches 358.9 meters with a depth of 6.5 meters and is divided into two models.
Its construction used a U-Ditch measuring 80x80x120 centimeters with a length of 239.2 meters and a jacking channel with a length of 119.7 meters.
Of course, the work received appreciation from Unus, Chair of RT 06/02 Cilangkap Urban Village. He admitted that now his area is no longer flooded when heavy rain occurs after a water channel was built on Jalan Giri Kencana
