14 Sluice Gates Have Been Built in East Jakarta During 2023

The East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) has recorded that as many as 14 sluice gates have been built in East Jakarta during 2023.

To minimize flooding when it rains heavily

East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Drainage Development and Improvement Division Head, Tengku Zaugi Zikri said the sluice gate construction was located in ten sub-districts to overcome flooding in the residential area.

"The sluice gate is made to control the flow of water channels that pass through residential areas to minimize flooding when it rains heavily," he expressed, Friday (1/5).

He explained the details of the 14 sluice gates being built were the mechanical construction and installation of the sluice gates on Jalan Manunggal II No. 1 Bluntas Park, Cipayung Sub-district and the water civil construction on Jalan Manunggal II No. 1 Bluntas Park, Cipayung Sub-district.

Also the construction of the Cakung Drain sluice gates on the west and east sides, sluice gates for the Kampung Rambutan Reservoir IPAL house, mechanical and civil work on the construction of sluice gates for the Cilangkap Agro Tourism Park.

Then the Sukamto Sluice Gate in Pasar Rebo Sub-district and mechanical sluice gates on Jalan Raya Kayu Tinggi, East Cakung Urban Village (in front of the Kayu Tinggi Market Sluice Gate).

Including the provision of sluice gates on Jalan Al Umar Mosque - Molek Bridge, RW 12 Lubang Buaya), sluice gates on Jalan Pagelarang 1 RT 02/02 Lubang Buaya, sluice gates on Jalan Pulma Pinang Ranti, and sluice gates in the Tongkek area, Jalan Jatinegara Barat RT 04/03 Kampung Melayu.
