S. Jakarta Tamhut Pruned 21,566 Trees Last Year

North Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency's Green Belt Section Head, Priharto Budi Susilo expressed the pruning was carried out following a request from the sub-district office because it was so overgrown. It was aimed to avoid unwanted things.

"In total, there are 20 trees type Banyan, Mahogany, and Angsana. It will be recontinued tomorrow," he explained.

To optimize it, nine personnel had been alerted to the location.

"It is done manually using two chainsaws and other supporting equipment," he explained.

It was important, because now we have entered the rainy season accompanied by strong winds.

"Several pruned tree branches were hanging over power lines. Hopefully, the pruning will create a sense of security for residents passing by, moreover this location is a busy traffic route," he added.

The action above received appreciation and thanks from Tugu Selatan Urban Village Head, Sukarmin after his report was quickly responded to.

"The Jalan Plumpang Emper area already looks neater," he stated.
