Residents feel the benefits of building the Soepomo JPO

The operation of the Soepomo Pedestrian Bridge (JPO) on Jalan Prof Dr Soepomo, Tebet, South Jakarta was highly appreciated and felt by residents.

This bridge is directly integrated with Transjakarta bus stops and other public transportation

One of the office employees around the Soepomo JPO, Hikmah (25) said that the Soepomo JPO is very helpful in making it easier to cross the road more safely and comfortably and access mass transportation modes.

"This bridge is directly integrated with Transjakarta bus stops and other public transportation. It makes my daily mobility easier. Thank you Jakarta Provincial Government," he expressed, Friday (1/12).

The same statement also came out from a student, Jovan (17). Before the bridge existed, she often felt anxious when crossing the road because of the high traffic at the location.

"But now, I can calmly cross the road," she admitted.

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Heru Suwondo explained the Soepomo JPO has a span of 31.15 meters, a girder width of three meters, stairs of two meters, and a height of 5.2 meters.

"This bridge has been used by the public since December 2023. It has fantastic facilities, such as two lift units, 14 CCTV units, and is decorated with artistic lights which can pamper and attract the public," he stated.
