"We also hold socialization to parents regarding the importance of consuming nutritious food during pregnancy," she explained.
For the elderly who came to Posyandu Menur 5 in RW 05, health checks were conducted, ranging from measuring height and weight to blood pressure and blood sugar by six cadres plus one officer from the puskesmas.
"Some 80 elderly people who came to the posyandu were also helped by PMT which consisted of green bean porridge and boiled eggs," she explained.
Hopefully, with a routine posyandu activity every month, it would monitor residents' health well. It aimed to respond to health problems or disorders early.
"Together with the health center, we always monitor the health of residents. We also collect data on residents who experience nutritional disorders for further distribution by PMT," she added.
In the meantime, one of the residents, Marsya (32), appreciated the posyandu activities which were very useful for monitoring her daughter's health and growth and development.
"I came to the posyandu bringing my four year old daughter, Shofiyah. The service of the cadres and puskesmas officers is very good, friendly and provides detailed information," she added.
She also felt very helped by the PMT program at the posyandu, as it could help fulfill nutritional requirements without having to spend money.
"This free PMT is very helpful. I'm also happy that there is socialization that can increase insight into maintaining health and ensuring children's growth and development is good," he stated.
