N. Jakarta RT/RW Forum Supports City's Solutions for Ex-Kampung Bayam Residents

The North Jakarta RT/RW Forum appreciates the efforts of the Jakarta Provincial Government to find housing solutions for ex-Kampung Bayam residents.

Hopefully, we can produce the best solution for everyone

North Jakarta RT/RW Forum Chairman, Suaib hoped that all parties look after each other and refrain from raising hot issues that cause public uproar, including regarding the Kampung Bayam issue which has recently popped up again.

He admitted the resolution of the Kampung Bayam problem was very complex and would take time to unravel, starting from the incomplete legal basis until it has an impact on current handling.

City Builds Flats in Tanjung Priok, Decent Housing Alternative for Residents

"The ex-Kampung Bayam residents are social problems that need to be found solutions together," he said, Friday (1/26).

As a facilitation effort, the North Jakarta administration has also provided relocation assistance for ex-Kampung Bayam residents to Nagrak Flats as a replacement for their housing.

"The Jakarta government has also prepared the construction of flats as replacements in the Tanjung Priok Sub-district area," he explained.

He admitted he understood their concerns and desires to obtain residential facilities near the location of their ex-homes.

Yet, he wanted this matter to be investigated with common sense and mutual understanding for the best solution.

"We're currently preparing a team to dialogue and accompany residents in finding solutions. Hopefully, we can produce the best solution for everyone," he closed.
