Kalisari Prime Area Arrangement Applies Cliff Concept

The Kalisari Urban Village's Orange Personnel, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, arranged an empty land by 33 square meter on Jalan Kalisari Raya RT 06/02 into a cliff. Now the project has reached 80 percent.

Kalisari Urban Village Head, Siti Nurhasanah, said the arrangement is run since the area was dirty by garbage and looked slum. The existing park was also abandoned.

"The arrangement is based on agreement with RT, RT, LMK caretakers and residents," she said, Thursday (2/22).

According to her, the arrangement uses a cliff concept to make it look beautiful and attractive. Then, four holes are prepared in the walls to plant ornamental plants. At the bottom of the cliff wall, Red Spinach and Lily Paly have even been planted.

Meanwhile, Kalisari Urban Village's Economy and Development Section Head, Evy Widyasanti, added that the arrangement was started in mid January and is targeted to complete by mid of March. Now the progress has reached 80 percent.

"There are five PPSU personnel deployed to arrange the area," she stated.

According to her, personnel now are painting the cliff wall and planting decorated plants. She admitted has been given 2,000 decorated plants from East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency.

"Those plants will also be planted in other areas since similar arrangement will also be conducted in other areas," she added.

Fany (40), resident of RT 06/02, Kalisari Urban Village, admitted happy with the arrangement conducted in front of her house.

"It looks greener and beautiful," she stated.
