58 People with Disabilities in Jakarta Get Free Mudik Facilities

The Jakarta Baznas Basis facilitates 58 people with disabilities to take Idul Fitri mudik (exodus) for free with the final destination Jakarta - Solo which crosses several destination cities on the north and south routes.

Hopefully, it can help and make them happy

Jakarta Baznas Bazis Head, Ahmad Abubakar said that the southern route would take routes such as Garut (Sasak Besi) - Tasik (Simpang Lima) - Cilacap Terminal - Cilacap (Cikondang) - Purwokerto Terminal - Kebumen (Pasarwinangun) to Solo.

"The northern route includes Indramayu (Patrol) - Pasifik - Tegal Terminal - Semarang (Pengaron) - Salatiga - Solo. The mudik departure procession was carried out yesterday together with the Jakarta Provincial Government's Free Mudik participants," he expressed, Friday (4/6).

Grogol Bus Terminal Prepares Three Mudik Posts

Besides, they would be picked up again when the returning flow with special services according to their individual needs.

"There are two buses prepared. This is our effort to bring equality to all. Hopefully, they can also be happy celebrating Idul Fitri in their hometown," he explained.

Jakarta Baznas Bazis' Distribution and Utilization Division Staff, Widodo added this program is the second time im 2024.

"This year, we dispatched two buses, there were 18 households with a total of 58 passengers. They went home together with their family members and their companions," he explained.

According to him, it is a form of Baznas Bazis Jakarta's concern and support for people with disabilities who want to celebrate Idul Fitri in their hometown with joy.

"Previously, the program had been promoted via Baznas Bazis' social media and gave flyers to Jakarta Social Agency and the community," he explained.

He hoped that it could provide security and comfort because it is a form of fulfilling the obligation to honor people with disabilities.

"Hopefully, it can help and make them happy to meet their families in their hometown. Insya Allah (God willing), next year, it will be held again," he hoped.

One of the people with disabilities participating in the free mudik program, Irlan Barlian (44) admitted that he was grateful and expressed his gratitude for the existence of this program.

"This is very helpful, especially when the economy is currently difficult," he added.

This year, he took mudik together with five other family members with the destination of Solo, Central Java.

"As a blind person, when it was reported that I had received the quota, I was very happy. "Hopefully, the same program can be held again," he stated.
