KAA Second Day, Traffic Along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin Goes Smoothly

Traffic diversion which is conducted by Metro Jaya Regional Police when the 60th Asian-African Summit is held, caused the traffic along Jalan Sudirman and Jalan MH Thamrin are relatively smooth. Whereas, usually the traffic flow on both protocol roads was quite dense, especially in work hours.

But when the guests have crossed the road, then it will be opened again

Head of Humas Division for Metro Jaya Regional Police, Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said, the traffic diversion is conducted situationally. When the state-guests cross the road then it will be closed. "But when the guests have crossed the road, then it will be opened again," said Sitompul, Monday (4/20).

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, the traffic flow on both protocol roads are relative smooth. As the center of event is in Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta. Therefore, offices activities along the roads goes normally. The operational of Transjakarta bus also goes normally. Along the track that passed by the state guests is being fully guarded. Joint officers of Army, Police, and Satpol PP are guarding, especially on each intersection.

KAA Delegations' Track Roads Sterilized

According to him, his party have appealed riders to avoid the protocol roads when KAA is held for anticipating densely traffic flow. "For citizens, please avoid Jakarta protocol roads or anticipate the time by departing early morning or come home more late," he uttered.

He mentioned, at this time his party will prioritize the coming state guests, when crossing the road in the capital. The citizens are also appealed to cooperate in order to give the smoothness and convenience for the state guests.

"We will prioritize the Head of Neighboring Countries. We expected a cooperation, understanding, patience. With spirit we could still create safety, convenient, orderly traffic condition in the city," he disclosed.
