Central Government Teams Up with Japan to Realize Jakarta with TOD Concept

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, accompanied the Transportation Minister, Budi Karya Sumadi on a working visit to Tokyo, Japan, to discuss cooperation in the transportation sector, including the Jakarta Integrated Motorway (MRT) investment project.

The Acting Governor stated the Jakarta Provincial Government supports development with the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept in the City of Jakarta through collaboration between the Government of Indonesia and Japan.

"During April 24-25, 2024, I accompanied the Transportation Minister regarding the concept of Jakarta's future development. Among other things, TOD development with investors from Japan and of course from within the country is currently underway," he said, at the Indonesian Embassy in Japan, Thursday (4/25), as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release.

According to him, development cooperation with the TOD concept in Jakarta with the Japanese Government is very reliable in the growth of development investment in Jakarta. It also indicates the commitment of the Indonesia Government together with the Japan Government to build a sustainable and sustainable Jakarta.
