The Jakarta Provincial Government together with the Jabat Hati Indonesia Japan Foundation are holding the Jak-Japan Matsuri 2023 event at the Gambir Expo from November 18-19, 2023.

The event is held as a celebration of 65 years of Japan-Indonesia diplomatic relations and 50 years of Japan-ASEAN friendly relations.
Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf) Head, Andhika Permata said that from this event, Indonesia and Japan could maintain partnerships, share understanding and business opportunities while planning for the future with optimism.

Jak-Japan 2023 Organizing Committee Chairman, Kobayashi explained this festival is a forum that aims to deepen understanding between Japanese and Indonesian citizens.
This event featuring Japanese artists was first held in 2009 in Jakarta with collaboration between the government and the private sector.
"Since 2009, it has been held regularly. However, this activity was stopped during the Covid-19 pandemic," he stated.
