Cilincing Sub-district Personnel Complete Repairs to Marunda Access Road

Personnel from the Cilincing Sub-district Bina Marga Implementation Unit, North Jakarta have completed repairs to the Marunda Access Road in Semper Timur Urban Village.

Eight personnel were deployed with supporting equipment

Cilincing Sub-district Bina Marga Executing Unit Head, Hartanto said nine potholes on the north and south sides of the Marunda Access Road were repaired already.

"This follows up on the monitoring results of personnel and residents' reports submitted via the Rapid Community Response or CRM application," he expressed, Tuesday (5/7).

5,238 Damaged Roads Repaired During January 2024

He explained road damage was caused by several factors, such as lots of heavy vehicles passing by and rain which resulted in the erosion of the asphalt.

He detailed that four repair points on the north side, each has the size of 6.4x3.2 meters; 5.6x2.9 meters; 6.4x4.3 meters; and 4.1x0.8 meters. Meanwhile, on the south side, there are five points with a size of 6.6x2.8 meters; 6.4x1.5 meters; 2.6x4.2 meters; 6.4x3.2 meters; and 8.9x5.1 meters.

"In the road repair work using hot mix asphalt, eight personnel were deployed with supporting equipment," he explained.

He explained the Cilincing Sub-dstrict Bina Marga Satpol was committed to maintaining good road conditions. So, when damage detected or there was a hole in the road, repairs were immediately conducted.

"Hopefully, the good condition of the roads will create a sense of safety and comfort for motorists," he explained.

The work received appreciation from one of the Rorotan residents, Damar (35).

"These potholes are prone to triggering accidents. I'm very happy that the damage was quickly handled," he stated.
