This is also an implementation and follow-up to the ratification of the Jakarta Special Region Law, which opens up great opportunities for Jakarta to encourage the creative economy and become a global city. Meanwhile, Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office of Jakarta Province, Arlyana Abubakar stated, there are three main points in organizing JaKreatiFest 2024, namely expanding business matching of MSMEs with financing institutions and potential buyers; program innovation by providing a number of services, such as education and assistance with halal certification for MSMEs and offline and online MSME exhibitions; and educational talk shows to increase public literacy by raising the topics of digitalization of payments, sharia economics, halal lifestyle, financial inclusion and consumer protection, MSME exports, and processed food products.
"This is run in order to support the development of MSMEs in Jakarta. So, it can strengthen and expand access to financing and market access for MSME players," he stated, as quoted from the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release.
JaKreatiFest will focus on developing and empowering the MSME sector, price stability, and digitalization of payment systems. It will be run on June 6-8, at Kota Kasablanka Mall, South Jakarta.
At JaKreatiFest 2024, there will be a showcase or exhibition from 79 MSMEs, consisting of 20 fashion MSMEs, 20 food and beverage MSMEs, 20 processed spice MSMEs, 11 craft MSMEs, and 8 coffee MSMEs. The types of MSMEs involved consist of MSMEs assisted by Bank Indonesia, Dekranasda DKI Jakarta, Industry, Trade, Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprise Agency, Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Agency, and SME partners.
